Stylish and Friendly Venue in the Heart of Sherburn in Elmet
MALT Bar & Deli is set in the heart of the historic town of Sherburn-In-Elmet in North Yorkshire and is the brainchild of local couple Clare and Ant Eckford. Named after their four children – Molly, Anna, Lucy and Tom, it is a real passion project for them both, bringing a place to meet the needs of the changing community and to enhance our small but vibrant town centre.

Come and see our lovely team who are always eager to offer the best service to ensure a relaxed atmosphere. With occasional bursts of live music and a warm and friendly welcome you will always feel at home when visiting MALT.
Our upstairs events space has been created to be as flexible an area as possible so whether you want to work, hold a meeting, event or private party we always hope to be able to meet your needs.
Events
Whether you are hosting a baby shower, christening, special birthday or any other family event, we are really happy to help here at MALT. We have a private events space on our mezzanine floor with its own bar so that you can celebrate in style.
We are able to offer a variety of catering options including our own charcuterie boards and a very special collaboration with our friends at the T-Post in South Milford.
We are happy for you to use the space without charge provided you are taking one of our catering options. We can accommodate between 15 (minimum) and 40-50 people depending on whether all guests are seated or not.
Please also contact us if you wish to book the space for a regular booking – we will always try and work out a way to meet your requirements.
Business Club
At MALT we know so many of our customers are working from home and sometimes the sight of the same four walls can drive you mad! We also understand the importance of human connections and so came up with our very own business club.
Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm you can book a table in our upstairs area (£10 pp per morning or afternoon session) and benefit from unlimited tea and coffee, free access to our Wifi and most importantly the chance to sit with other home workers whilst you all beaver away on your laptops!
You can also book the whole of our upstairs for a business event (minimum of 12 people, maximum of 40) where we can set the room up however suits – board room style, conference, or tables, and we can also provide catering. Please contact us to discuss your individual needs. Prices vary depending on what your requirements are.
